“Affable hillbillies Tucker and Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are mistaken for murderers by a group of preppy college students.”
Let’s take a step back form the horror with deep topics hidden underneath and have some fun with Tucker and Dale. Because I LOVE this movie. I will never get bored of watching it.
This movie pokes fun at so many horror tropes while providing them with an odd sort of respect, plus – hello – Alan Tudyk is so amazing.
Tossing all the tropes from “Hills Have Eyes” to “Wrong Turn” and beyond, this movie treats us to what happens when stereotypes are in the forefront of our thoughts. And on top of that there is the worst set of circumstances.
The practical special effects and homage to classic horror tropes make this a joy ride for an horror fan. No spoilers. Just fun. Watch it. Now.
