“Mysterious deaths surround an American ambassador. Could the child that he is raising actually be the Antichrist? The Devil’s own son?”
People have said that children are precious little angels. But this one is a cute little devil. Ha.
As with the Exorcist, the Omen takes another child into the darkness of Biblical proportions. But this isn’t possession. This baby is placed with a political family to be raised in power because he is – wait for it 0 the some of the Devil himself.
There are those around him who seem to sense something wrong with Damien, mostly animals. And there are those sent to protect him. The working in of premonitions and the practical effects aren’t that bad. I just couldn’t bring myself to feel very… drawn to this movie. Which seems really off to me as Gregory Peck and Lee Remick are amazing actors.
SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT
Is there such things as unavoidable courses of prophetical fate? Even with all the tools laid out before him, Thorn is shot down in the final moments, allowing the antichrist to now become the ward of the President of the United States.
I need some Duckies to weigh in here.
