“An investigative reporter must send the newly unbound Pinhead and his legions back to Hell.”

So, remember when I mentioned the Cenobites being killed was important? Here we go. We find them trapped in a piece of “art” from the institute that can evidently be fed “useless” humans to help bring Pinhead back to life.

The big difference here is that they attempt to bring the Cenobites on to Earth itself rather than the box tempting others t them. It felt like a bit of a reach bit…

Also, I never really connected that Terry Farrel was Joey. I knew Terry from watching DS9 with my mom. How is Dax in this movie?

I think that the flashbacks Joey has to her father in Vietnam is supposed to be some connection to Pinhead’s human self once being a British soldier but of course, when you try to hard, it just feels forced.

The other think I wasn’t too fond of here was how they tried to move Pinhead into a Freddy Krueger type character with sarcasm and punchlines. That felt like a sell-out.

SPOILERS FROM HERE

How cool would it be to be a Cenobite that throws CD’s to kill? Okay, there are some campy bits that made me groan bit I did like that they “tried” to keep the Cenobites about pleasures of the flesh.

The very end is what matters to me because the next sequel is my favorite and we see the box in the building the the ominous design…
