“A man who specializes in debunking paranormal occurrences checks into the fabled room 1408 in the Dolphin Hotel. Soon after settling in, he confronts genuine terror.”

You wanna give me John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson together in a horror movie? Yes, please! (Side note: I have actually met John. Two things about him are 1. He’s TALL and 2. He’s super amazingly sweet.)

Can a place be evil? Well, everything is made up of energy – both positive and negative – and who is to say that said energy can’t accumulate into one place?

When a hotel offers you a free penthouse upgrade and expensive booze 0 there may be a reason to pause. But I completely get Mike’s POV where he’s heard the hype before.

There are so many twists and turns that you even start to question the movie you’re watching!

SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT

OMFG When you think it was all a dream for a solid moment there. At first I was about to be all “oh, just a dream.” Then it flips back and the scene with his dead daughter… GAH! My heart could barely take it!

Then they go and break your heart one more time at the end with his daughter’s voice on the recorder?

I’m not crying. You’re crying.
