“A film student who is obsessed with the movie Grave Encounters sets out with his friends to visit the psychiatric hospital depicted in the original film.”
A fake documentary about a fake documentary. So are we going to go meta on meta? So since I’m doing a review of the movie about a movie, am I now part of it?
Ha. Just kidding.
I know the main character is supposed to be an aspiring film student but there is so much overacting… wow.
If you’re into slow burn, then this movie may be okay. Almost 45 minutes in and we are just now getting to the “scares.” And then it just seems to try and shove it all in quickly where the action has no real build up…
Eh.
SPOILERS FROM HERE
The red door and the while thing about the spirits wanting more video taken seems to counter the first movie where the spirits were punishing the film makers. To me, it seemed more like a stretch to try and kick off more movies in the franchise kind of like Hell House had done. But the plot just doesn’t seem to follow.
