“A “National Geographic” film crew is taken hostage by an insane hunter, who forces them along on his quest to capture the world’s largest – and deadliest – snake.”
My anaconda don’t want none unless you got J-Lo’s buns!
You knew that line was coming. Don’t lie.
So, there is a giant snake in the Amazon. Color me surprised. But, I will say that it was a real surprise to see two POC’s in one horror movie in the 90’s.
And I don’t remember what moveie it was but they had a reference to this movie all “get it! It tried to kill J-Lo!” Dead. LOL.
The 90’s gave way to a mix of animatronics and CGI which was just being perfected. The snake in this to me is proof that there are som bumps in that road.
For a list of A-list actors for the time, I feel like the actin is pretty par core. Or maybe the predictable script was just too far gone to get any sort of help.
The snake itself was a mix of newly developing CGI and the old school as I mentioned and, to me, it gave it a sort of cartoonish feel. And it’s been a long time since I’ve watched but… wasn’t the snake bigger?
SPOILERS FROM HERE
Hey! They were trying to trendset in the 90’s by having the two main POC’s survive!
They put that snake up a smoke stack and happen to have things to make it explode. But that doesn’t work so leave it to Ice Cube to get all medieval on its ass.
I don’t know know. Not really a fave.
