“While Dr. Loomis hunts for Michael Myers, a traumatized Laurie is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, and The Shape is not far behind her.”

Finally! I have been trying to catch this movie streaming for free and for some reason this is the only Halloween movie that wasn’t on – until now.

Again, I love the classic Michael Myers because so much is left to question. And I especially like this sequel because it picks up right after the first movie so you don’t have that odd “what did you do the last few years” feeling.

While the Zombie version only visited the post trauma hospital scene for an opener, this movie takes it to more step by step style, giving us a glimpse into Laurie’s slow recovery as she tries to find her bearings.

I like this version for the actual character development. Lumis isn’t shown as the heroic and single minded psychologist whose primary goal isn’t fame and book sales but rather containing and stopping the evil that is Michael Myers.

SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT

Laurie doesn’t actually see that she’s Michael’s sister but still makes sure to shoot him in the eyes. And though he collapses in flames, we all know Michael’s destiny.
