“A group of young adults visit a boarded up campsite named Crystal Lake where they soon encounter the mysterious Jason Voorhees and his deadly intentions.”
Sam Winchester verses Jason Voorhees? Okay, let’s see how this works out.
I went into this viewing the first time with some hope of the original being recaptured. Instead, what we get is no camp counselors, no real suspense because the opening credits do all that in the first five minutes.
The actual movie seems to be a rush attempt to cram the first three movies together and make Jason into some sort of isolated survivalist rather than a revenge driven killing machine.
Also, he seems to stat killing when people stumble upon his massive landscape of weed plants. Maybe this time around Jason is more about protecting his stash rather than Camp Crystal Lake.
And I’m a bit confused. So since a girl looks like a younger version of his mother, he’s keeping her chained up? Isn’t eh whole background of Jason that his does his mother’s bidding? (Or rather, the hallucination of his mother.)
This movie attempted to and failed at bringing new life to a classic.
Sorry Jared.
