“A shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio, a gun-toting bruiser in search of the last Twinkie and a pair of sisters striving to get to an amusement park join forces in a trek across a zombie-filled America.”
Sometimes you need to have some fun with your horror and I cannot think of a funner movie than this. Yes, the world is over and zombies are the now residents but you have a cast that includes Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone? Let’s go!
Among the serious takes on zombies such as the Walking Dead or Resident Evil, this movie puts a quirky comedy spin while not losing the core of what the zombie trope is. Brains and all.
The neurotic rules that our lead protagonist follows provides a strange set of logical guidelines while giving a good laugh. And at first you look at Tallahassee’s Twinkie quest on a superficial level but then when.. Oh wait, forgot.

To lose your child and just want some semblance of that happy life you know… I can’t even imagine.
Also, major kudos to the Bill Murray cameo.
This fun romp is almost reminiscent of the Bruce Campbell style humor in “Army of Darkness.” A+ from the mama duck.
