“When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings, they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death.”

So yes, I do read tarot cards. I have since I was about seven or eight. And yes, this is a bit of a mockery. However, it is a movie. Used for fictional entertainment and I’m watching it as such. So should you.

There are little small things that I like they point out. Number one – never use someone else’s tarot deck. That’s where things start to go wrong. The other thing I like is how the tarot readings are twisted to make the demise of the characters. Clever wordplay is abound.

The other thing I like was the dark twist of the cards themselves. Instead of a light, friendly image, the pictures are dark and creepy, which matches the dark items they find in the basement.

Never go in the basement in a horror movie.

SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT

A curse is a scary thing. Each culture has their own. And the vengeance of a scorned woman is something EVERY man is weary of. Bringing an end to vengeance is a complicated thing. They soon find out when the deck won’t burn.

Oh and the magician death? EPIC.
