“A robotics engineer at a toy company builds a life-like doll that begins to take on a life of its own.”

Okay, yes. Even before I saw this movie, the announcement of a movie with my name was hitting my messages.

If you think that this is something on the lines of Chucky, think again. To me, this is actually carrier. This is what we worry about with artificial intelligence. And then it gets coupled with children who undergo trauma clinging to something they want to be real? Oye.

For those who have ben following me, you know I am going o complain they killed a dog. Now, I understand that the robot saw a threat to the child and eliminated it, but still.

The question in brought up as to whether or not we’re advancing technology to better life or avoid it. Rather than becoming an interactive guardian, Gemma uses her newfound responsibility as a way to beta test her latest project.

SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT

I don’t know how I feel about the bully kid being killed. On one hand: BULLY. But on the other hand: he was a kid. So the body count in this movie includes children and dogs.

The company turncoat and the profit gouging boss are fair game, though.

In the end, perfection doesn’t exist. By trying to create the perfect interaction, we forget the interaction of human individuality.
