“Resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County to terrorize a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.”

Once again, we delve back into the creepy and gory world of Art the Clown. And this time, he has a friend. If you think that clowns are creepy enough, wait till you see the creepy little clown girl child. While I gave this one duck less, it’s just because I feel the original was so out of the box with its effects and acting. This, while still good, is more of a deep delve into the world rather than a standalone like the first.

The opening picks up right where the last one left off and the newly resurrected Art takes the time to clean his outfit at a laundromat where we first meet the “Pale Girl.” She’s a figment that only Art can see but does that mean she’s not real? And you wanna talk creepy, what’s with the Clown Cafe? That jingle is so messed up.

This movie doesn’t jump right into the kills like it did in the first one. Rather, we’re shown some character build up and maybe a little folklore concerning the fun little black and white villain. This makes your emotional investment with the protagonist much deeper.

There is something to be said about a child’s behavior after trauma. And this movie mixes some of those things into the lore. There was a truth to some of the warning signs in child development but then again, this is Art the Clown so if you live in the Terrifier universe… I’d listen more to the kid.

So, the did the dad’s brain tumor cause him to see a glimpse into Art and that his daughter would be the one to stop him? How did he find that sword? Is the Pale Girl the one pulling Art’s strings?

Also, stay for an almost “Marvel”-like post credit scene that is equally messed up.
